ASREB aims to raise funds to grant a wish to a local child dealing with a critical illness
Phoenix, Arizona (October 30, 2018) – The Arizona School of Real Estate and Business is no stranger to providing services that help people change their lives. This time, though, they’ve partnered with Make-A-Wish Arizona to provide a life-changing wish to a local child dealing with a critical illness.
Support from ASREB will help make wishes like Penelope’s come true. Penelope is 9 years old and had been dealing with cancer when she was referred to Make-A-Wish. Her admiration of New York City in movies and books inspired her wish to visit the Big Apple in the wintertime.
Make-A-Wish is an important part of a child’s treatment process in dealing with a critical illness. ASREB is thrilled to partner with Make-A-Wish Arizona to deliver this much-needed service to local children and their families dealing with these unimaginable circumstances. Right now, only 2 out of every 3 eligible wishes are being granted in Arizona, and that’s why help from ASREB and other community supporters is so important.
Penelope’s mother, Perla, shared what the experience meant to their family, “That was the hardest thing we have ever had to go through, to know she fought so hard to be cancer free, and then to hear that it came back even more aggressively. Then the wish came and everything changed, and it was a light in the dark.”
